PAPER INSTRUMENTS

As visual communication more and more becomes an electronic issue (web 2.0., online-ads, interactive devices...), the role of paper changes. I intend to draw the attention to special attributes of paper next to its usual ways of use.

Paper instruments explore the quality of sound within several arrangements, conceived either as compositions based on papersounds or a real-time installation setup. Work in progress...

«Ascent» is the first part of a series of sound-metamorphoses. Basically the idea of this series is to explore the variety of musical alterations. Within 6 minutes «Anstieg» tries to emblematise a changing-process in terms of pitch and space.

ZX81

The video ZX81 was created by using one of the first plug-and-play computers Sinclair ZX81 (launched in 1981). Sound and visual content were generated by saving data on tape.
